MOON'S TAE KWON DO
Grades/Belts At Moon's we have 9 belt levels before black belt. Achieving black belt is a considerable achievement as it takes a long time (usually over 2.5 years) with a lot of hard work and dedication. Getting a black belt is not the end of the journey but rather the start of a new one as it signifies that the student has an understanding of the concepts and skills but has just begun as a "serious" student of the art as a awhole.   our belt levels

White belt - beginning student

Yellow (1 stripe) - 8th Gup

Yellow (2 stripes) - 7th Gup

Blue (1 stripe) - 6th Gup

Blue (2 stripes) - 5th Gup

Blue (3 stripes) - 4th Gup

Red (1 stripe) - 3rd Gup

Red (2 stripes) - 2nd Gup

Red (3 stripes) - 1st Gup

Cho Dan Bo - probationary black belt

1st Dan and then back up to 9th Dan
